Adrian’s broad career as an Architect also includes roles as a development manager, team leadership, design, contract administration and the project management of buildings.

Adrian began his career as a qualified architect in 1996 with a large multi-disciplinary practice in Staffordshire. He then moved to the Unitary authority of Telford and Wrekin Borough Council for which he designed and built a significant number of schools, houses and civic buildings. He became a Senior Architect in 2002, leading a team of professionals for a period of 17 years; project managed the building schools for the future programme in 2016.

Latterly, Adrian spent two years with Local developer Gladman Developments Limited project managing apartments with care developments, country wide. He set up his own company in 2019 to work on a number of residential properties for private clients as well as some established developers, before joining Steven Docker Associates in 2022.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your work?

The positive, long-lasting difference we make to our clients and their families through our expertise, and focus on being designed to enable really is life-affirming.

What do you enjoy away from the office?

I love to get out walking in the countryside; favourite spots include the Peak District, Lake District and the Scottish Highlands. I also find fascination in different cultures and loves to travel, visiting Tibet, India, Peru, Canada as well as a great number of European countries. I have an interest in Eastern philosophies, Reiki and healing modalities.
