Raf joined SDA in October 2023 with previous work experience working for multi-disciplinary practices in the built environment, working predominantly in the commercial sector working on various projects involving schools and public buildings. 

From a young age, he always enjoyed aspects of the built environment, inspired by his father who also worked within the industry. 

As part of the design and project management team, his current role includes aspects of design and contract administration which gives him the opportunity to collaborate in and oversee projects in their entirety at SDA, from early conceptual design stages, through to live projects and final hand overs. 

Alongside the work that he is responsible for in design and project management, Raf is also involved in measured surveys and home visits assisting the expert witness and property finding teams at SDA.  

He is currently working towards his chartership certification – a long-standing professional goal.   

Raf graduated from Liverpool John’s Moor University in 2019 having studied Architectural Technology.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of your work?

“I am incredibly proud of being able to make a significant difference to people’s lives through SDA’s projects. We make life-long improvements to our client’s quality of life – not just for individuals affected by disabilities, but also for their loved ones and the people who care for them.

“Our highly creative and collaborative team of professionals and our clients inspire me to develop technically and personally – it’s a highly rewarding role and place to work!”

What do I enjoy outside the office:

Raf loves being active and going on long hikes and adventures with his girlfriend and their dog. He also enjoys going to music events and festivals with friends. Raf is a frequent gym goer and enjoys living a healthy lifestyle (although he admits to having a weak spot for white chocolate chip cookies). Raf is a huge Liverpool fan. On lazy days, he can be found lying on the sofa, binge-watching series on the TV!
